My name is Don .
Welcome to my blog www.griffinpigeons.com .I am a 56 years old,ordinary ,average Joe. l live in a small town in the heart of the Thousand Islands in Eastern Ontario . l retired 10 years ago when cut backs closed my place of employment .Being retired l have a lot more time on my hands to pursue my hobbies. My hobbies are hunting and fishing, carving decoys and being involved in racing pigeons.This blog is all about one of my hobbies, racing pigeons.
After being around pigeons most of my life , l thought l would put up this blog to try and help new pigeon fanciers and old ones as well. With tips and tricks, reviews, videos, Q&A with free give aways and contests though out the year.
I have read many articles on how this sport is dying,Hopefully this blog will help people to have a better understanding about this sport and to get a new generation of young and old people interested in this terrific sport.
This blog is to help each other learn from our mistakes and grow together with great informative information.
I am also building a new page for Tips & Tricks, but my first tip will be here;
First Tip–To have better performing birds, relieve them of their day and night time stress, which are mosquito, fleas, mites and ticks. Baths and sprays will help with this problem, but also by screening in your loft will help to reduce these pest from entering and the birds will have a more calmer night and will perform better in the days to come.
